Charleston Event Planning Companies
Charleston, SC, has been on my list of favorite places since my
first visit in 1985. I’ve been fortunate enough to not only
live here off and on, but I’ve also attended a number of corporate
events and conventions in the area. I’ve experience a number
of different Charleston event planning companies,
and have been part of planning events with a wide range them.
It was not until April of 2006 that I met someone that I would
trust to do any type of event that I might be challenged to
plan. That’s when I met Sha Sha Harnik with Distinctive
Events.
Of course, it was not hard to remember Sha Sha. As
Charleston Event Planning Companies go, she made an impression on
me from the first time we met. I had been challenged
with developing a major gala event for a grand opening of a major
shopping center. The center developers had placed some very
interesting requirements on the event, beginning with the need to
have an impressive event on a very unimpressive budget. I
wasn’t sure I could get any of the Charleston event planning
companies to talk to me let alone do anything memorable.
Career suicide looked imminent!
I count the day that I ran into Sha Sha at a local convention
center as one of the best days of my professional career. Her
enthusiasm for the event, her willingness to understand my
requirements and her knowledge of the business struck me
immediately. We chatted for a few minutes, I explained my
dilemma and she offered a couple of ideas that I thought would help
us meet all our goals. She then went to work on the budget,
and helped me revise it at least nine or ten times. (I’m not
sure I would have to courage to ask other Charleston event planning
companies to do what she offered cheerfully.) She worked
tirelessly to help me.
I guess it goes without saying that the event was a smashing
success. Sha Sha made me look like a genius, which is no easy
task. And, more importantly, we achieved our goals of having
a creatively designed, entertaining and memorable event. And,
career suicide was averted . . . thanks to Sha Sha.
