Charleston Corporate Event Planning
Charleston corporate event planning is a fun
business, especially if you enjoy showing off the city that I have
come to call my second home. (No one can claim Charleston as
“home” unless you came over in 1670!) The fun part about
Charleston corporate event planning involves the ability to draw
upon a wide range of venues, all of which have their own
significance for an area that is truly one of the most unique
places in the country. Planning events in a city like
Charleston allows you to show off all the places you’ve discovered
on your own, and gives you an opportunity to help other people
discover it as well.
Charleston corporate event planning really is like being a tour
guide to a fascinating city, and re-visiting all your own favorite
places as you plan events in different venues. Here are some
of my favorite places that I discovered, often by accident!
The Citadel Officers Club. Tucked away down in a corner of
Sullivan’s Island is a clubhouse that sits just off the
beach. I discovered this place about 20 years ago when I was
invited to a regional marketing meeting, and I thought it offered a
great way to relax and be a beach bum.
The Gibbes Museum. Yes, the Gibbes is the cultural icon
for the active visual arts community but it also serves as a great
venue for a corporate reception. The museum has an
interesting courtyard that can accommodate up to 200 guests, and
what better way to enjoy an evening than surrounded by art.
Historic Homes. Pick your favorite! They all offer
interesting settings for Charleston corporate event planning events
and all have their own little history lessons included. It’s
hard to pick a favorite because there are so many and they all have
their strengths.
This is a very short list, and believe me there are lots of
other choices. Decide your theme, and the let the Charleston
corporate event planning process begin. It’s sure to be a lot
of fun!
